History: The iMac (Flat Panel) represented the first major design change to the three year old iMac design. Based around a 15" LCD display it was available in three configurations. One with a 700MHz G4, with 128MB of RAM, a 40GB drive, and a CD-RW sold for $1299 U.S. The second with a 700MHz G4, with 256MB of RAM, a 40GB drive, and a DVD/CD-RW sold for $1499 U.S. The last with a 800MHz G4, with 256MB of RAM, a 60GB drive, and a SuperDrive sold for $1799 U.S.
